Gemma has lost a stone and her back pain is better than ever

Gemma has greatly improved the quality of her life through exercise and good nutrition.
1. What made you start personal training with SAF?
I was in a job that involved multiple nights away from home, weekly stays in hotels, eating fast food and drinking most nights. It had left me feeling overweight, constantly tired and really quite mentally down in the dumps. I was going to the gym 2/3 times a week and doing what I thought I should be doing but wasn’t seeing/feeling any improvements. I wanted to work with someone who would help guide me through the maze of ‘expert advice’ that was out there, but who would also understand my nervousness about starting a journey like this.
2. Can you describe how you were feeling physically and mentally before coming to SAF?
I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without feeling out of breath, and I felt really uncomfortable in most of my clothes. I had also been suffering from back pain for a number of years which I was very wary/conscious about. Sean made it clear that we would be working to my goals and at my own pace which was a huge relief!
3. What did you want to achieve with SAF?
I wanted to lose a stone and tone up all the wobbly bits I had been hiding under baggy clothes for so long.
4. What results have you seen whilst Personal Training with SAF?
I have lost over a stone, gone from a size 12/14 to an 8/10, but most importantly I feel so much more confident in my own skin. The back pain that was so prominent in my life previously also now rarely bothers me, which really has been a life changer. I have also managed to maintain my weight for 6 months whilst still enjoying a decent social life! And if you had told me a year ago I would love working with weights I would have laughed at you. I can do a push up now!!!
5. Would you recommend SAF and why?
Without a shadow of a doubt! Sean really does work with you on what you want to achieve and helps you tailor your approach to nutrition and exercise to ensure you reach your goals - over a year on and I still believe joining was the best decision I have ever made. His gym is amazing and I have made some friends for life - the small group sessions are hard work but also fun and supportive at the same time.
